Jam Tart Cookies

In a bowl mix together:

1 cup butter

1/3 cup sugar

1 3/4 cups flour

pinch of salt

Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on a greased cookie sheet.

Press your thumb to make a little well in each cookie. 

If you make it a V shape they will look like little hearts:-)

Fill each well with 1/4 teaspoon of your favorite jam.

Bake in the ovenat 350f for about 10 minutes.

At this point take a break for tea while you wait for the cookies to cool:-)

Place them on a pretty red tray with white polka-dots. Serve to your 47 "sisters" who share a dorm with you. Eat while watching "The Little Princess" and braiding each other's hair.

These yummy tea time cookies come from the American Girl Party book. We make them every year on Valentine's day at home. We always have a Valentine's day tea party with a few friends. So this year I carried on the tradition, but made them with two of my girls in Mozambique. We had so much fun!
