Crayon Roll

For Christmas I made my cousin a colored pencil roll. It turned out really cute, and I never took any photos:-( But I think these are the coolest things, so I had to make another! :-)

 

My nephew just turned 3, and for his birthday I bought him a stack of Bible coloring books, and made a crayon roll for a pack of jumbo crayons:

I made  a flap to fold over the tops of the crayons so they wouldn't fall out:

I ran out of material (I was using the leftovers from the colored pencil roll), so I couldn't make a tie for this one. Instead I found a big yellow button and made a button hole to close it. 

I think the button is easier for a 3 year old anyway.

I didn't use a pattern, I just kind of worked it out as I went. I think I made the pockets for each jumbo crayon 1 inch wide. It's really simple to figure out on your own. I am sure you could find directions on the internet.
